Fall 2022 Administrative Internship Opportunity

Child Life On Call is looking for two aspiring child life specialists who are self-motivated, tech-savvy, and have strong written and verbal communication skills to broaden the mission of Child Life On Call. (This internship does not count toward hours needed to apply for child life certification through the ACLP)

Qualifications:

  • Child life students, college-level
  • Child life students, masters-level
  • Child life specialists who have completed internships, but have not found a job in the field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of digital media platforms including TikTok, Pinterest, and Instagram

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Research, create, and write content that supports parents and child life specialists
    • Content includes blog posts, podcast show notes, social posts, and more
  • Other tasks as assigned

Logistics:

  • 4-8 hours per week expected
  • Weekly check-ins and support from a member of the Child Life On Call team
  • Remote position

Important Dates

Application due: August 12, 2022

Interviews: August 17, 18, 19 2022

Offer date: August 23, 2022

Acceptance date: August 26, 2022

Administrative Internship Dates: September 5 – December 16

  • Resume
  • Personal social media accounts
  • Sample blog post about one of the following topics: (250-500 words)
    • How parents can support children during medical experiences
    • How parents can facilitate medical play at home
    • Why are parents the most important part of the care team?
    • Example blog post here

  • Applications submitted after August 12 at EOB will not be reviewed
  • Blogs that are submitted with misspellings and content without attribution will be disqualified
