Mock Interview
If you’re like most people, the thought of interviewing can be daunting. You want to make sure you nail it, but how can you be sure you’re doing everything right? Enter Mock Interviews. This service will allow you to practice your interviewing skills with a child life specialist, who will then provide feedback on your performance. We can help you customize your responses, incorporate theory, and boost your confidence so that you walk into your real interviews feeling prepared and ready to take on anything.
Our Mock Interviews are designed to help you get ready for the real thing. We’ll sit down with you and conduct a 10-question interview covering a range of topics. Once the interview is done, we’ll debrief with you and discuss your strengths and areas for improvement. We’ll also send you the question set afterward so that you can continue practicing.

Hi, I'm Lauren!
I have been a Certified Child Life Specialist since 2016. I began my child life career in a hospital setting and worked in a variety of units within a smaller child life program for 4.5 years. Most of my experience was in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Department. I also joined the student committee and realized how much I enjoy working with child life students. Each application season, I found myself excited to review and score applications, engage in interviews, and plan student programming materials. I started mentoring students one-on-one in 2018. Since beginning, I have added group sessions, long-term one-on-one mentorship experiences, and written a blog to provide students with more tangible information. Currently, I work with Child Life on Call on student support services and help run our online community of child life specialists. Additionally, I work full-time at the University of Georgia as a child life specialist in a research lab. I assist the team and our participants with unsedated MRI’s. I live in Athens with my husband, daughter, and our dog, Kirby.
